Professor of Organic Chemistry and Synthetic Macromolecules at the Department of Food Science and Technology of the University of the Peloponnese

Ioakeim Spiliopoulos is Professor of Organic Chemistry and Synthetic Macromolecules at the Department of Food Science and Technology of the University of the Peloponnese. He received a B.Sc. degree in Chemistry (1993) from the University of Patras and a Ph.D. (1998) from the same University. He has partcipated in 12 research projects, three of which as a scientific coordinator. He has published about 40 research articles in international scientific journals and three books, two of which are monographs. He is a reviewer in more than 15 international scientific journals. His current research interests focus on the synthesis of organic compounds and macromolecules for metal and antioxidant sensors and nanomaterials with food applications.
